With Warzone being the most popular game type in Modern Warfare comes the biggest part of the patch, Snake Shot Akimbo .357 pistols have been nerfed. The akimbo pistols have been creating complete destruction, and had became almost necessary to use in Warzone. The pistols were a crossbread of a shotgun and a sniper, outdueling sub machine guns and other weapons up close, while still doing major damage at range.
After various streamers and YouTube personalities publicly voiced their distaste for the akimbos it appears Infinity Ward has responded by rebalancing the damage, reducing fire delay and fixing a bug where damage was too high at longer distances. Major influencers haven’t quite reacted to the change besides being grateful. It is yet to be seen if the adjustments are enough to warrant players using other secondary weapons.
With the .357 nerfs it may be possible that another set of akimbo pistols becomes vaiable. For example, Marcel (BasicallyIDoWrk) a popular Warzone content creator shows off a potential .357 replacement the Renetti akimbo pistol.
