PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds test server has received it’s latest update. The update will be tested on out on the test server prior to going live. The latest update includes multiple new additions to the game. The test server update will only be available for certain regions and in certain modes. Currently the test server patch is live for:
- Asia Region
- Map: Sanhok / Vikendi
- Mode: Squad, TPP
- NA / EMEA Region
- Map: Sanhok / Vikendi
- Mode; Squad, FPP
New Weapon – Bizon
The Bizon is an SMG that will be exclusive to Vikendi and Erangel. It uses 9 mm ammunition and holds a total of 53 rounds. The Bizon can only take muzzle and sigh attachments, meaning no grips or magazines.
New Weaon Sight – Canted Sight
The canted sight is a new weapon attachment. The canted sight is for weapons with a secondary scope slot. To toggle between the canted sight you will press ALT + Right Click. It is important to note that the angle at which you view may appear to be different but weapon accuracy, ADS, and FOV have not changed.
The canted sight can be used on the following weapons:
- AR – Beryl M762, AKM, AUG, M416, Mutant, QBZ, SCAR-L, G36C
- DMR – SLR, Mini14, Mk14, QBU, SKS
- SR – AWM, M24, Kar98k
- SMG – UMP, Vector, Bizon
- Shotgun – S12K
- LMG – M249
The sight you see when you aim will be different depending on whcih slot you attach the canted sight and scope to.
- If you equip Canted Sight only, your primary sight will be the Canted Sight.
- If you equip Canted Sight after scope, your primary sight will be your scope.
- If you equip scope after canted sight, your primary sight will be the Canted Sight.
New Vehicle – Snow Bike
The snow bike in PUBG is a quicker version of the snowmobile on Vikendi. The snow bike can only be found on Vikendi and is a replacement for the motorcycle. The snow bike can be destroyed much faster than the snowmobile.
New Weather – Moonlight
A new weather setting has also been added to the test server. The weather setting known as “moonlight” is a night time game mode that is only lit by the moon above.
Battle Stat Weapon Skin
PUBG has also added in Battle Stat weapon skins. The skins will track the total number of kills with the weapon. You can view the total kills by pressing J to inspect the weapon. It is important to keep in mind that only the original owner of the skins kills will be counted on the weapon. If another player picks up the weapon and records a kill it will not count.
