Nickmercs Leaves 100 Thieves Organisation

Since 2016 years Nickmercs has been a popular streamer for esports organisation 100 Thieves. Nick mostly streams Fortnite and is known as one of the top controller players to play the game. However, after recently leaving Los Angeles (where 100 Thieves is headquartered) and moving home to Michigan; Nick decided to announce that he would no longer be a member of 100 Thieves effective immediately.

Nick was the first to announce via Twitter. Followed up shortly by 100 Thieves in response to Nick’s announcement.

The announcement read:

“Moving forward. So exited for this next chapter – I’ve got everthing I need; the friends, the family, and the MFAM. We’ve laid down the foundation for the future and I’m thankful for every one of you that has been a part of the journey back home to Michigan. We’re back to business as usual today and, for me, that means continuing to work to be happy, to take care of myself and to take care of those that matter the most to me and my happiness. With that, I am moving onto the next chapter of my life and have decided that I will no longer be a member of 100 Thieves, effective immediately.”

Both 100 Thieves and Nickmercs appear to have ended their partnership on good terms, unlike the Tfue and FaZe situation. However, this may not have been a surprise for either party and may have been something avid Nickmercs fans knew about weeks ago. On March 10, 2019 Nick talked about why he wanted to move away from Los Angeles stating “I want a yard, I want snow, I want it. I want fall, I want spring, I want my family. I don’t want this stuff. The 100 Thieves thing is like, you know. It’s supposed to be a lot different than the way it is today – a lot different. It’s a lot of things. But, it’s all good things for me.”

In the clip Nick doesn’t necessarily what about his an 100 Thieves relationship is supposed to be different. However, it does sound like he is slightly upset about something. If one thing is for certain Nick doesn’t like living in Los Angeles which is probably the primary factor for his falling out with 100 Thieves. Prior to the announcement Nick released a merchandise drop known as “The Homecoming Collection” to celebrate the next chapter of his career in Michigan.
