A new update has been released for Call of Duty Modern Warfare on October 28, 2019. The title update is part of Infinity Ward’s proactive approach to improving the games competitive integrity prior to the launch of the Call of Duty World League. Although the patch notes are limited, “ashtonisVULCAN_IW” has released a brief summary of what has been changed on the Modern Warfare subreddit. The latest update updates the game files to version 1.05
October 28 Patch Notes:
- Changes have been made on the back-end to help with stability and to prevent crashes across all platforms. If for some reason you still experience a crash please let the Infinity Ward team know.
- Fixes for a Special Ops achievement that was not unlocking after competing all of the missions.
- Third person footsteps are now silent while the Dead Silence field upgrade is active. (More on the Dead Silence troubles here)
- Adjustments to the “hill” rotations on certain maps. The changes will be reflected in Hardpoint and Headquarters. The maps that have been adjusted are Arklov Peak, Azhir Cave, Hackney Yard, Rammaza, and St. Petrograd.
The update is available on all 3 platforms including PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The estimated size for the update is 2.4 GB on PlayStation and slightly larger on PC and Xbox One.
While the changes may seem minor, they are a solid step in the right direction. Keep in mind that Modern Warfare hasn’t even been out for an entire week and has received 5 updates.
If Activision or Infinity Ward release a more detailed breakdown on what has been changed in the latest 1.05 we will be sure to update the article.
