Fortnite released one if it’s major updates, v8.4 on April 17, 2019. The patch including a new weapon “Infantry Rifle”, as well as a host of new content including the popular Air Royale limited time game mode. However, along with the v8.4 update came a some bugs that players were not too happy about. To fix the v8.4 bugs a patch was released v8.4.1 on April 19, 2019 to try and fix some of the issues.
Patch v8.4.1 went live on April 19, 2019 at 6:00 AM ET / 3:00 AM PST. Fortnite players are required to update their client to continue playing. The major bugs that players were experiencing being dropped to a lower division in arena, bushes not rendering, and extra buttons appearing on mobile devices that weren’t functioning buttons.
