Respawn has released a patch for Apex Legends on May 8, 2019. The patch went live around 10:30 AM PST on all platforms including PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The patch is approximately 160 MB in size and is required to play Apex Legends. The patch released on May 8, 2019 was the last patch since the update on April 16, 2019 a total of 23 days. Console players will need to go to their dashboards to download the update. While PC players will have to head to Origin to download the update.
Since the release of the patch a lot of players have been complaining about constant freezing in the character selection screen, or a C2S_CONNECT desync. Some players have reported that by selecting the Lifeline character it will cause the crash. If you are experiencing the crashing at character select screen players suggest changing banners, player cards or completely changing legends. The developers of Apex Legends have yet to acknowledge the bug, but we will keep players updated if there is a fix.
Update: Apex Legends has acknowledged the crashing on PS4 and says they are investigating the issue.
