The next major event for the Call of Duty World League is underway in London. CWL London started on May 3, 2019 and ends on May 5, 2019. The tournament features 16 of the best Call of Duty teams in the world competing for their share of the $325,000 prize pool.
The tournament features 4 groups, with 4 teams each. Each team will play every team in their group in a best of 5 series. The top 2 teams from each group will advance to the winners round 1 championship bracket. While the bottom 2 teams will be placed in the loser’s round 1 bracket. No team can be eliminated from the tournament during group play.
The first day (Friday, May 3) is group play day. Teams will battle it out to place at the top of their groups. Placing top 2 in your group is very important, as less matches will have to be played to make it to the grand finals. Teams entering the finals from the championship winners bracket will also only have to win 1 series against the team entering from the loser’s bracket. The team that makes it to the grand finals from loser’s bracket will have to defeat their opponent in two series if they want to win the entire tournament.
