The popular battle royale game Fortnite is set to add a new game mode later this week. The game mode will feature teams of 3 people, an addition the community has been asking for. Currently there are only solo, duo, and squads game modes. The “trio” game mode will bridge the gap between duos and squads for those parties with 3 players.
Fortnite will be the first major battle royale to have a 3 person mode. Currently Black Ops 4, PUBG, Ring of Elysium and more all feature the same “solo / duo / squads” setup.
News of the new game mode was leaked in the latest v7.10 patch along with leaked v7.10 frozen skins. The new game mode was leaked via Twitter as such:

With a description of “Classic battle royale with 3 player squads” it sounds as if Epic games plan to keep it as a permanent game mode instead of just LTM. Of course, this is all speculation and nothing is official until Epic Games make the announcement or release themselves.
